I have had issues with people stealing my mail lately.One day I received an invitation from out of state, with no envelope. That was the last straw. I read the other reviews and didn't want to spend a ton of money for a rented place. So... I bought this one. It is not heavy duty constructed. It is thin metal and the slot is magazine sized. However if you are trying to keep a tight lock on things this isn't for you. A determined thief could get in with a little extra effort. But if you want to discourage the walk-by mail picker, this would probably work for you. It seems these days I get more mail. So it must be working. Oh and it's cute!

I love this hanging system. My laundry is in an extra half bath and there was no good place to put a permanent rod. I was always hanging things on the door frame and they were always falling off. I love that I can fold this flat when I have guests and it's out of the way.

I purchased the Instahanger closet system, which is basically two instahangers with a bar in between them. when I got it, it was simple to figure out, but the plastic is cheap and I assume I will at some point have to replace them due to breaking. I decided not to use the bar as you can't fold down the two side pieces with the bar installed and it is REALLY difficult to get the bar on and off. So for my laundry room I have the two instahangers on the wall above the washer to hang stuff. In this capacity they work great and I am pleased. Again, the "system" was very inexpensive, so even if they break in a year its worth it.

So many people have told me how great this soap smells. It lathers well and cleans well and does not dry my skin. The only complaint I have is that it slips through your hands like water. If you aren't careful it will go down the drain quickly. Other than that I love it.

The refillable pump bottles sets (3 pumps) I have purchased for this soup also don't work well (won't pump out smoothly). I won't be purchasing more of this particular item in the future.

Good heavy quality cast iron fondue set that will last forever. Cooks evenly and presents well for all occasions. Can be a bit difficult finding the right cooking gel in stores so you might want to buy online the same time you order the fondue set.

This pot is heavy cast iron and uses a flamable gel (not NAPALM) heat source to keep things warm. I thought about getting an electric fondue pot, but who wants a cord around to trip over? An electric source also limits you on where you are going to serve this. I choose the black color because a fire source is used and I would not have to worry about cleaning black marks off a lighter color. The ceramic inside makes for an easy clean-up.

Fondues are fun and a pleasant way to dine with a friend or friends.

This fondue set worked great. I purchased it after returning from Switzerland- I was craving some fondue. The pot is very large and can easily accomodate a group. The cast iron is nice- went easily from gas range to base. The base was very stable so no worries about tipping. Overall it was a great quality set. Only negative was that the set did not come with fuel- the description isn't totally clear- I read it as the fuel container would be in there- apparently only the container to hold the fuel that you buy separately is included. Not a big deal since the fuel is cheap but plan accordingly so you have the fuel when you need it.

Vintage LP Record Coasters - Set of 6 Review by cecil

I ordered the vintage vinyl coasters as a housewarming gift for my friend's new condo. I like the novelty idea of them being vintage vinyl records, but the artists they sent were no-namers -- or at least nobody popular that I knew. I thought they were going to be standard with record labels as shown on the picture, but they were hand picked albums of manufacturers choice. One of the coasters even had hand writing of a grammar school child on it marked with a name. I guess that's what makes it so "vintage"? Regardless, I ended up choosing this product over the others because I didn't want random artist names who we didn't care about and thought this would be a more generic approach. I was wrong. Lesson learned.

DO NOT BUY FROM QNAP!!

This is a terrible product. It shipped to me with dated firmware which I promptly updated. The updated firmware has known bugs which after several unsuccessful attempts to get support from QNAP resulted in rolling back to the dated firmware it shipped with. ...which also had known bugs, just different ones... This thing is garbage - spotty operation, unreliable and combine that with almost no documentation and you'll spend hours on their forums trying to figure out how to configure the thing not to have numerous internal conflicts.

Make your like easy and DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT or any other from QNAP.

I purchased this baby on July 18, 2010 & since then, I have no problem with updating firmware & stuff:

-High quality chassis (even feels a little heavy without HDDs cuz of all metal this thing was made of)
-High quality components, Prosessor (Marvel), RAID controller (I don't recall its manufacturer's name), excellent 2 Ethernet connectors & a very rock solid (PSU/power brick) that's survived many power surges & power offs
-3TB HDDs compatible
- and more

Cons:
- Doesn't wipe my @$$ in the bathroom

Oh, one more thing: don't let some other stupid reviews stop you from googling about stuff you're interested in

Finally, if you're into one of these. I extremely recommend the newer models for you. just go to QNAP dot COM & dig more for details & other things those NASes are capable of


Qnap TS-419P Review by C. Weiss

I'll keep this short & to the point:
Time of ownership: ~8 months.
Documentation is good - there's a quick start guide that gets you going reasonably quickly. It's geared towards PC users, but I was able to suss out the steps for OS-X. There are a lot of steps though, be sure to follow the QSG carefully.
The hardware itself is decent, I had some issues with fitment (sliding drive trays in and out), but once I got the hang of it, things went fine. It's reasonably quiet, though since it's a NAS, it's in my basement.
The software is excellent for a NAS neophyte, easy to use, full featured. You have the option of desktop client or web-based administration. Having a bit of system administration experience helps with the more advanced management (folder permissions, etc). But the basic elements are easy enough for a low/mid-level computer user to set up (and if you're buying this, you're probably not a complete n00b anyway). There are some nice advanced features such as SNMP support and the ability to gain shell access and install your own software (there's a decent plugin community).
So far, it's been flawless in performance (aside from the caveat below), excellent throughput and I've had no issues with it in my mixed Mac/PC/iPhone/network-enabled DVD environment. The few limitations I've run into are mainly on the client site (the media player client in my LG Blu-Ray player isn't quite ready for prime time).
QNAP Support has been excellent - they've gotten back to me in short order with my issues and their support forums are active and helpful.
They do release firmware updates from time to time with new features and new disk support.

Now for the issue - The QNAP appliance is not compatible with all SATA drives. They have a hardware compatibility list on their website, and it's not entirely accurate. I found out the hard way that Western Digital "Green" drives are not compatible, even though they're listed. With the WD drives, I experienced frequent lockups and had troubles even initializing the drives in the first place. Some research on the QNAP forums would have highlighted this before I'd made the purchase. I replaced the WD drives with the forum-recommended Hitachi drives and had no troubles at all from then on.

Since this was pretty much an RTFM issue, I'm not going to ding the product - So far, it's been outstanding. I can easily see myself buying another one when this one fills up.

This was purchased after researching what few choices we have, case or cover-wise, for the Xoom.

I can say that the OtterBox is a reasonably good item that protects the Xoom from most scuffs, dings and scratches. It does add to the weight and thickness of the device. However, in my view, that is also a piece of mind.
Since purchasing the OtterBox for my Xoom, the device has traveled almost 10,000 miles with zero problems. Here are some caveats.
~ Yes, the silicone can be squished off of the frame if you use too much force.
~ Yes, you have to open the flap to charge the unit.
~ You should apply a screen protective film to minimize fingerprints and smudges since that is not included with the OtterBox, but this is only a minor complaint.

You can prop your device into landscape or portrait mode in either of two viewing angles, and the tray/cover has non-skid feet so it stays put on many surfaces.
Overall, I am pleased with the item and would recommend it to travelers or people that like solid protection for their personal electronic devices.

I find it incredible that such low life, unscrupulous 3rd party 'vendors' exist withing the Amazon ecosystem. The official msrp of the Otterbox Xoom defender case is 89.99. I love my otterbox defender cases (Xoom & DX) despite their slight overprice IMHO, its nothing compared to the 100+% markup that a certain 3rd party vendor gouger has it listed at. Not a 25%, nor even 50% but a full double the original price! Wow, Nothing more than scalping. 5 stars for product, a negative 5 for these insulting price gougers..

Surprised that DHL sent the item pretty fast, only three days from US to Singapore. I'm 8-month pregnant with my 2nd baby and it's super easy for me to put everything together. The good thing about the stroller is that it's light and easy to open/fold, but the plastic and fabric is not as good as it looks. My son refused to ride on it, maybe because the color is not as bright as our previous maclaren xlr.

Bought Sophia which was on Final Sale at Babies end of July 2011. I fell in love with the stroller the first time I saw it and it satisfied my list so I bought it immediately.

Here's the list which I made when I was looking for stroller.
Recline - should be good for newborn (CHECK)
Canopy - should be big (CHECK)
Wheels - 4 sets of double (especially when getting up the bus, I think 4xdoubled wheels are safer than 4xsingles) (CHECK)
Lightweight - but not too light (It's ok)
Fold - should not be complicated (CHECK)
Basket - not an issue (CHECK)
Price - not too expensive(CHECK)

I know my requirement was very little. I forgot there are other things to be considered like the upholstery material.

Sophia material is very elegant and posh, very good combination of color, it's like curdoroy. I loved the reversible lining. One side is warm, the other is organic cotton (I think). It would be very good during wintertime as it could keep the baby warm. And in the mall, most of the mommies asked me what color was it. But what I don't like about it is it catches dirt so easily. The material attracts dust and all other elements. Silly me, I forgot that soon I will have to go back to Middle East (now I am in Canada), and in there is a tons of dust. Also, you will have a big problem if your child messes with her food or milk or spits, or if your hand is dirty and you accidently touch it or the car compartment is not clean - you cannot simply wipe the dirt, you would have to take the whole upholstery off to get the dirt clean by washing.

When I tried it on store, everything seemed fine. But when I walked with the baby, it was not comfortable to push. I find it heavy, shaky and filmsy. Not sure if because I was just tired, or it was heavy or perhaps it's the handle that is too tall for me (I am 5'2").

So I decided to sell it after 2 weeks. I lost a few $$, but it's ok than whining forever for something which was unsatisfying. I know I could have returned it to the store, but I lost the receipt and, if ever, I was not sure if they would take it back as I bought it on a Final Sale deal.

I love Peg Perego, but the Pliko P3 isn't just for me especially a cloth upholstery. I am considering to get the Si, hopefully it would be better.

The Plikos are my favorite. I have 4 kids and have pretty much see them all. The P3 folds small enough to fit in our Mazda 5 with all seats full. My 4 year old likes to ride on the back when we go to pick up the older kids from school. I hardly notice shes there. Its a better option than those wheeled boards which only get in the way of your feet. People complain about the basket...Ive never had problems with it. I can stuff in my purse and 1 of the kids backpacks with a couple water bottles....no problem. The lack of a parent tray is easily solved by getting a universal strap on one. I tried a few and the sunshine kids works great! The sun canopies are amazing and the only ones Ive come across that lower all the way to the snack tray when the seat is up. If the seat is reclined it doesnt go as far down. The other plus is the very long seats. Most come short and there heads end up going over the top by the time they are 1. These are long and make for a great spot to take a nap. All in all a great stroller. This is the actual color of the Marena. It is different from the pic. But nice none the less. I dont know why people say its flimsy. Its built differently so it can tri fold....but its very sturdy. Some complain its made of plastic...well the frame is not, the parts are...but arent they all
